| Viacom Inc. is a worldwide entertainment company with operations in five segments: Cable Networks, Television, Radio, Outdoor and Entertainment. The Cable Networks segment consists of cable television program services through MTV Networks, Black Entertainment Television and Showtime Networks Inc. The Television segment consists of the CBS and UPN Television Networks, the Company's broadcast television stations, and its television production and syndication business. The Radio segment owns and operates 183 radio stations through Infinity Radio. The Outdoor segment, through Viacom Outdoor, displays advertising on various media. The Entertainment segment includes the activities of Paramount Pictures, Simon & Schuster, Paramount Parks, and the Company's movie theater and music publishing operations. In December 2004, Viacom acquired SportsLine.com. During the year ended December 31, 2004, the Company acquired majority ownership in VIVA Media AG. More | |
