The Brink's Company, through its subsidiaries, Brink’s, Incorporated (Brink’s) and Brink’s Home Security, Inc. (BHS), provides transportation and cash logistics services, as well as security alarm systems. Brink’s provides secure transportation, cash logistics, and other security-related services to banks and financial institutions, retailers, government agencies, mints, jewelers, and other commercial operators located in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. Its principal services include armored car transportation; automated teller machine replenishment and servicing; arranging secure long-distance transportation of valuables; supply chain management of cash; guarding services, including airport security; and transporting, storing and destroying sensitive information. BHS markets, installs, services, and monitors security alarm systems for residential and commercial properties primarily in North America. It monitors signals originating from alarm systems, which can be designed to detect burglary, fire, medical, and environmental conditions. BHS’ customers comprise residents of single-family homes and newly constructed homes. The company was founded in 1838 and is based in Richmond, Virginia.

For the nine months ended 30 September 2006, The Brink's Company's revenues increased 10% to $2.08B. Net income from continuing operations increased 94% to $70.2M. Revenues reflect higher sales from Brink's due to strong performance in U.S & South American operation and Brink's Home Security segments of the Group. Net income also reflects an increase in operating margins, lower interest expense and increased interest & other income.
