Arabian American Development C (ARSD)

Arabian American Development Company engages in the manufacture of various specialty petrochemical products and development of mineral properties in Saudi Arabia and the United States. The company, through its subsidiaries, owns and operates a petrochemical facility located in southeast Texas, specializing in petrochemical solvents and other petroleum based products. Arabian American also has a mining project in Saudi Arabia which is under development and is expected to produce zinc, copper, gold, and silver when it is put into production. In addition, it owns and operates three pipelines. The company serves companies in the chemical and plastic industries. Arabian American Development was founded in 1967 and is based in Dallas, Texas with an additional office in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

For the nine months ended 30 September 2006, Arabian American Development Company's revenues rose 29% to $75.9M. Net income from continuing operations fell 46% to $5.9M. Revenues reflect increased petrochemical product sales due to higher prices and higher processing fees. Net income was offset by increased general & administrative expenses, higher sales & processing cost, an increase in depreciation charges and increased interest expense.
