Photon Technology International, Inc. (PTI) is a high technology corporation engaged in the business of exploiting the many applications of it proprietary fluorescence technology. Fluorescence is used to measure minute amount of substances to detect much smaller quantities than by other means; measure changes in substances over a short duration of time; show where substances of interest are located, which can be visually observed through a microscope, and trace where substances are migrating. Fluorescence applications are growing and can be found in virtually every field where the detection and monitoring of minute substances is of significance. PTI has developed a full line of proprietary and/or patented fluorescence based instrumentation to serve as a platform for the exploitation of this technique.

PHTO researches, develops, manufactures and markets proprietary electro-optical systems enabling customers in health care, science & industrial process control to perform advanced analysis utilizing light. For the 9 months ended 3/31/02, revenues rose 38% to $6.9M. Net income totaled $366K vs. a loss of $232K. Revenues reflect the realignment of the North American sales office. Net income also reflects improved economies of scale.
